Swim & Gym 2023

What is Swim & Gym?

Swim & Gym is our summer program (June- August) of 8 weeks of all-day fun and activities for kids going into 1st-6th grades. Each day at Swim & Gym will include swimming, lawn games, crafts, singing, and Bible Time!  Every year, we love watching our amazing campers interact with our wonderful counselors and make new friends with fellow campers.  Swim & Gym is such a special place to live out the summer, creating so many memories.

We offer Epic Thursdays, where we provide bouncy houses, water slides, and other fun outdoor games!  Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we also travelled to various field trip locations all around the Bay Area (Great America, SF and Oakland Zoo, Raging Waters, Happy Hollow, Gilroy Gardens, and many others) and hope to resume field trips soon in lieu of Epic Thursdays.

We also hold the Leader in Training (LIT) program for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders.  We value LITs as our older, more experienced campers, and will support them in inspiring, motivating, and leading our younger campers through their time at camp.  To help LITs achieve this goal, staff will model good group management skills and give LITs a chance to take on purposeful roles within their groups.

Registration for Swim & Gym 2023 opens in March.

Bible Time

Every morning campers participate in Bible Time, a fun Bible based experience where we learn about Bible stories and themes, sing and dance, watch skits, and learn about God.

Afternoons

During the afternoons, we have tons of fun activities in rotation for both our Olders and Youngers groups!

In the past, we have had access to both the Sequoia and PCC Community Center pools, and love to take our kids swimming.  We have also had PCC gym access to play basketball or other sports games, and have access to our beautiful lawn for more fun.  We also love to have some chill time with arts and crafts activities back in the classrooms.

ASC Choice Time image.png

Choice Time

Campers get the option of choosing one of several activities that we offer. Choice Time consists of the classic fine motor, gross motor, and cognitive learning categories. We make efforts to provide campers with a chance to explore beauty (creativity), abundance (entrepreneurship), and order (science) through our camp programming.
